To participate in The Black Therapy Network, therapists must meet the requirements below. These requirements protect clients, protect your license, and help the platform operate professionally.

- •Premium Tier Session Rate: $55 per completed 50–55 minute session (Premium Tier is not automatic and is assigned by BTN in writing)

- •Sessions completed 1st–15th are paid within 5 business days after the 15th.

What are the qualifications to join BTN?
You must be licensed and in good standing, carry malpractice insurance, maintain a private workspace with reliable internet, complete a background check, and meet minimum availability expectations.
How does BTN match therapists with clients?
Matching is based on therapist availability, client needs, specialty fit, and the state(s) where you’re authorized to practice. Consistent availability increases matching opportunities and helps with client retention.
Can I work with clients outside my licensed state?
No. You may only work with clients in states where you are licensed and legally authorized to practice based on where the client is located at the time of service.
How many clients do I have to take?
BTN expects a minimum level of consistent availability (example: 10 sessions per week). This protects the client experience and helps the platform provide access to care.
What is the earning potential?
Earnings vary based on the number of sessions you complete and client attendance. The more consistent your weekly availability, the stronger your earning potential typically becomes.

Is there a fee to join BTN?
There is no upfront “join fee” to apply and begin onboarding.
What kind of support does BTN provide to therapists?
BTN provides platform support and guidance so therapists aren’t left alone when client access, scheduling confusion, or basic troubleshooting issues occur.
Can I see clients in-person, or is BTN fully virtual?
BTN is designed as a telehealth platform. Sessions are conducted virtually.
